- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Discharge refrigerant from system.
- Remove glove compartment and panel beneath glove compartment.
- Remove side panel next to heater.
- Remove right defroster vent and air duct.
- Remove expansion valve, insulation and cover.
- Disconnect evaporator connections, then remove evaporator.
- Reverse procedure to install. Torque refrigerant hose to 22 ft. lbs. Evacuate, recharge system and check for leak.

BLEEDING ABS SYSTEM
A diaphragm type pressure bleeder should be used to bleed system.
Bleed system with wheels on vehicle.
- Raise vehicle and fill brake fluid reservoir to MAX mark.
- Install automatic filler cap.
- Use only upper nipple for bleeding vehicles equipped with Multi-Link.
- Begin by bleeding one of rear wheels as follows:
- Connect bleeder tool to one of the bleed nipples. Connect bleeder unit.
- Connect air hose to other side of unit.
- Open bleed nipple and close it when no bubbles remain in fluid flowing out.
