Operation
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) modulates the pressure of the brake fluid applied to each caliper. This prevents the wheels from locking, whenever they are likely to be locked due to excessive braking. It then restores normal hydraulic pressure when there is no longer any possibility of wheel locking. - Obtain the vehicle owners radio theft protection code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable, if equipped.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable.
- Remove the fuel fill cap to release fuel tank pressure.
- On models less fuel filter service bolt, place a shop towel over the banjo bolt at top of fuel filter. Slowly loosen the banjo bolt one complete turn. When loosening the banjo bolt, use a backup wrench to hold the fuel filter in position.
