  • Obtain the vehicle owners radio theft protection code prior to disconnecting the battery ground cable, if equipped.
  • Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  • Remove the fuel fill cap to release fuel tank pressure.
  • On models less fuel filter service bolt, place a shop towel over the banjo bolt at top of fuel filter. Slowly loosen the banjo bolt one complete turn. When loosening the banjo bolt, use a backup wrench to hold the fuel filter in position.
